We went camping this weekend with my family in the Uinta mountains. Joe chopped wood for the fire for a really long time....it may have had something to do with how he was holding the axe :)
"And she said he wasn't dumb"

We had a really fun time. The mountains and lakes were beautiful and the weather was nice (the night was pretty cold at that elevation, though).

Here we are on top with my family. It kind of felt like we were on top of the world. There were so many little lakes all the way around.

This is the mountain we climbed, looking up from the bottom. The summit was about 11,900 feet, but the trailhead was around 10,700 feet, so it only took about three hours (even though Joe estimated that we could make it in about 35 minutes).

Joe always was in a hurry.
I love it!
I've never seen anyone have success trying to chop wood that way, but Joe can pretty much do anything...
The landscape pictures are gorgeous!
I'm sure Joe had a reason to be chopping with the broad end of the ax. Was he pounding a wedge?
I agree with Stephanie - the landscape is gorgeous! Love the pics!
