Everyone on our street has lawns that are greener than ours, so we decided we'd better do something about it. Joe went to turn on the sprinklers and only the front zone and one back zone would turn on. This necessitated digging a trench to run another electric line to solenoid actuated valves. This wouldn't have been so bad if we hadn't run into a one foot diameter root. Joe and I dug for awhile, then Joe decided to call in the big guns. Dallan came over with his electric drill and they drilled right through the root to run a conduit for the electric line.
Then, because the valve leaked, Joe had to replace it, along with all the other fittings in the box.
Joe ended up having to redo the box three times before it didn't leak. The last time, he called in the experts (Dallan and Carrie) to help him out. We were both pretty glad when it didn't leak anymore.
We had to dig out and replace two sprinkler heads in front and clean and repair a couple more. There are more in back that need to be replaced and repaired, but we'll do that later.
And finally, Stella and Paula, the brown head friends :)

Next time our valve leaks I am calling y'all :)
Its funny that Dallan and Carrie are the experts. The more brains the better I guess. Its so green down here, mostly the weeds after the drought.
It's always good to have some BIG GUNS in the arsenal!! Glad you got the sprinkler fixed!! Here in LA hardly anyone has sprinkler systems. That was so weird for me when we moved here!! But it usually rains enough that you don't really need them here...when it rains that is!! :)
